Edible Arrangement 1

Fruit Bouquet - which I made for my friend's baby shower party.
Peacock's body made from Honey dew ; Skewers with fruits as feathers. Used an orange for baby's body ; a Potato to make the baby's face & lettuce as Baby's blanket.
Well- This is the first time I tried to do anything with fruits & vegetables- other than eating ofcourse ;-). There is always room for improvisation.

Sleepy Sleeperson

I have heard the idiom- Sleep like a baby . I will change it to my convenience and say - Sleep like this baby - calm, serene, pleasant, comfortable and innocent.

Goddess Saraswathi

Goddess Saraswathi is the goddess of knowledge, music and the arts. Saraswati's children are the Vedas, which are the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism. She is generally shown to have four arms, which represent the four aspects of human personality in learning: mind, intellect, alertness, and ego. Alternatively, these four arms also represent the 4 Vedas- Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda & Atharvana Veda, the primary sacred books for Hindus.

Horse

To me, horses and freedom are synonymous .
A horse is the projection of peoples’ dreams about themselves-strong, powerful, beautiful.

Mount Shastha- Northern California.

Not very good selection of colors. I had to use water colors - that was the only set of paints I had.It is indeed expensive to get colors that give a more natural touch.

I would have done a better job with acrylic paints. That is on my agenda though.

All of them together

I love to paint on rocks - Turtle and Penguin are my favourites, my personal best .

Flower

Tried to do a bouquet because of the shape of this rock- but couldn't fit more flowers. I really really need to buy better painting brushes ;-) - it would get easier to define certain things.

White flowers

All of them together

Kitten, Penguin and a fish

Ooh, the peeping kitten came out pretty good . For a change - the eyes look nice. That is the most difficult part in a painting- portraying the expression through the eyes.

Resting panther and a peeping kitten

I don't have either of these with me now. Will have to get similar shaped stones and paint on them.
Ok- that adds to the list of things that needs to be done.

Kitten

Turtle - My first painting on a stone

When I am at the beach- The breeze, the water, the weather, the sand, the sky-----and yes, the horizon are not the only things that excite me. I was thrilled to see the smooth rocks that lay there. Well- why don't I give some color to these rocks - thinks ME .
The shape of this particular rock reminded me of a turtle- and BINGO !!!!
